Ladies Philoptochos of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Westfield

Ladies Philoptochos Society of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Westfield, New Jersey

Our Mission is to aid the poor, the aged, the hungry, the needy and sick
through charitable works performed with discretion, courtesy and kindness.

We graciously extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one who participated in the Vasilopita Celebration and for your individual generosity throughout the year that enables us to fulfill our true
Christ-centered mission, helping those in need.

Vasilopita 2015

The Ladies Philoptochos society thanks the following donors whose generosity contributed to another successful Vasilopita luncheon, with proceeds going to benefit the children of the Saint Basil Academy.

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Current Activities:

February 8        Go Red for Women

National Philoptochos has designated Sunday, February 8th as
“Go Red for Women” and Heart Disease.

Heart disease is the #1 killer of women, killing more than all
forms of cancer combined.  You can help by wearing red on
Sunday, February 8th and by making a donation that will be
sent to the American Heart Association.  Through all our efforts
we can fight this disease and together we can end heart
disease.  The American Heart Association is a national voluntary
health agency to help reduce disability and death from
cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The “Go Red for Women” tray collection will be after the
Divine Liturgy with proceeds to benefit the American Heart
Association.  Please wear you Red in support.
